Newness

The newness of life is what compels me to keep pressing in.

I find the equal amount of pain and pleasure in the new seasons as they come.  

If you like it or not seasons will come.  Both good and bad.  Be resilient.

Finding Your Way

In life we tend to follow more than we lead.

I found that it took me decades to truly start leading.

It wasn't until after I left home and went on my hero's journey that I was able to come back and truly be a leader.

Most of us never depart from home and wonder why we are still not growing.

We all have that journey to take...the sooner you step up and out the better you'll be.

I Don't Want to Lie

When I speak, I don't want to lie anymore.

The apparent truth I held on before was never really truth at all.  I had to experience life first before I could be true to what was inside of me.  

I've found that lying was something I did all the time.  It's wasn't always on purpose, I was just teaching what was taught before me.

But what I've found is that if I say something that someone else has told me and I tell it to you as truth is still not truth to me.  It's only something I've been told was the truth before and thus you are being told it's the truth now.

But truth is relative to the individual.  

While a truth may be absolute to your mind the truth may not be absolute in another.  

This is where we find that we continue to speak of things that we know nothing about.  We speak with an authority that is found in our own beliefs and teachings.

We look at pastors and spiritual leaders to have the way to God.  Yet we are all there already, each in our own unique way with out own unique views of the world and each other.

Yet, we speak as if we have been God ourselves.  Casting judgment and condemnation on those not like us.  And in this we find the issue...we are living a life based upon the views and teaching of others before us.

They may be sound teachings and balanced ideas.  Nevertheless they are not your thoughts and it is not your story but the thoughts and stories of others.

But you are not them and it's not your story.

You are you and there is no other.  You are one of a kind.  

Your truth, what is truly true in you and to you will be the only true truth that will ever exist. 

Speak that truth to the world.   Anything other would be a lie, not only to you but to those you speak it to.
