The point of tribulations and trials in this life? To produce true fruit that edifies and builds up those that you influence daily. To bond marriages and raise children the legit way. To become more like the God that created us.
Paul would throughout his ministry "encourage" his brothers saying that through many tribulations they would enter the kingdom of God. The truth remains and is this: God chastises those he loves and he brings down those that are arrogant. Without the pruning of God we would never be more like him, we would never decrease and he would never increase. At least for those of us that love him and hope for his appearing, trials and tribulations are gladly welcome...

So I got the call...
It was a month and a half later but hey I got the call from the lead pastor afterall. We met and talked for an hour or so. He seemed interested in wanting to know what I was about and how I wanted to get involved. I told him my story and let him know I am good just coming and going for now. But you never know what the future might hold.
To be honest I think I am still, no, I know I am still dealing with my life, the past, and I can't seem to get out of this funk. I was rolling well for a few months from about February to maybe a month ago. I think I just stopped reading the bible, got over worked with my business, and just don't seem to care much about doing church stuff. I gave a larger than normal tithe recently and maybe it was because I felt guilty or something. I don't really know.
Things are well even though my heart isn't in it right now. I'll respond in a few and see what's up. Still enjoy going to church tho...

I'm supossed to get a call...
from the lead pastor of my home church here in Kennewick, Wa. I've been attending the livingroom community church now for the last six months or so, it's good, I actually call it my home which is a trip. He stopped me this Sunday to ask for my number to see if we can meet this week to discuss my involvement. I was like, "sure, anytime after noon". I have already purposed in my heart to say thanks but no thanks. At least for now. I am in a content, good place right now and I don't want to screw that up.
Getting involved i believe will begin to cause this good thing to end. I'm honestly good showing up at the last minute, sitting, listening, saying hi and bye to a passer by or two and jetting out. To do just that means I've come a long way in the last 4 years. It's amazing how my faith has transformed in these wilderness years.
I read a quote that hit home for real for me, "unshakable faith is faith that has been shaken". My faith was brought as low as it could go without losing it all together. Just lucky I guess but jesus knows what's up and what time it is. He's rocked me these past few months and we'll see how far he wants to go but for now all things are quite good with no complaints.
I have to admit, I am looking forward to what mr. lead guy has to say. i think I'll write a bit about it if it happens...till next year maybe,
Peace,
